Use this space to reflect on our time together. What are some of your takeaways? What are you still left feeling like you would like support with? How could this session be improved? Any other feedback is always helpful and appreciated. Thank you.

I love, love love all the resources and articles you shared with us. Just being given the time to search through all these resources was great. Especially since time is not a teacher friend.

I really enjoyed the opportunity to view the sites and resources you provided. They were very useful. They helped to get my brain going after the holiday break. Lol!

I appreciate that we were able to explore then share. Exposure to the new resources and hearing how my colleagues might use these new resources, as well as how they are approaching science in their classes, enhanced the session.

Thank you Marissa the professional development session was very useful. You have given us a multitude of resources to explore to implement. The best sessions allow you an opportunity to grow. So I can say without hesitation this is one of the best sessions I have attended.

Familiarizing myself with state standards and core content standards.
Understanding the difference between mechanical notebook entries and insightful entries. Making sure students are interacting and reasoning with each other to promote higher level thinking skills.
Claim Evidence Reason!
Make sure students know why they are reading or what it is they want to learn. Provide a purpose for reading or purpose for what students are trying to figure out through a hands on experiment.

This professional development was very helpful because it gave me a lot of meaningful resources and the opportunity to share with colleagues from different sites (something I wish that we had more of an opportunity to do). The resources are great because they gave me some good ideas on how to teach the same concepts through different topics and materials. It was very helpful to be able to search and discuss resources with you instead of getting a lot of resources being thrown at me with no time to figure out how to implement it.

Thank you so much.

Gina

We will cogenerate ideas here about how we currently integrate science into ELA, and where we see potential for more targeted integration.
